Year 8 Where are we going? Why are Rites of Passage so important in world faiths? A study of Birth Initiation, Marriage, Death Rituals in the main world faiths.
Year 9 How do believers express their ideas about God? Where do we look for God? - through a study of the Nature of/Evidence of/Terms for God in Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Hinduism. Where does the Universe come from? What are religious believers doing to care for the environment?

Year 7 Why are religious founders still remembered today? - through a study of the lives and importance of Moses, Muhammad and Buddha. What do Christians believe about Jesus? - including an examination of the Gospels as sources of Authority for Christians.
Year 8 What does the Incarnation of Jesus mean for Christians today? What does the Resurrection of Jesus mean for Christians today? - including a consideration of Atonement and Salvation
How do these beliefs affect Christian daily life and actions through festivals? Why are some places special to religious believers? - a special study of Jerusalem
Year 9 What is the significance of the Bible for Christians? How is it interpreted and used in Christian worship? How do Christians express their beliefs in the Creed? - Why is there diversity in the Christian tradition? - What is the role of the Holy Spirit in Christianity Today?

How does the mosque reflect Muslim belief?
What does it mean to be a Muslim?
Year 8 Who are the Jewish people? - including a consideration of God's Chosen People and the state of Israel.
Orthodox and Progressive.
How do Jewish beliefs affect daily life and actions? - through a study of worship in the home. How does the synagogue reflect Jewish belief? - including a study of Torah and Tenakh, the role of the Rabbi, Sefer Torah
Year 9 What does Justice mean to Christians? - How does the Greatest Commandment influence Christian behaviour?
How are these beliefs reflected in the lives of leading Christians? - Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa
Why do people suffer? - through a study of Holocaust and Genocide.
