Tudhoe Grange School is an oversubscribed 11 - 16 split site Technology College in Spennymoor, County Durham, 5 miles south of Durham City. The school enjoys a renowned reputation as a caring community that provides excellent learning opportunities for our 850 pupils.
The RE Department at Tudhoe Grange is staffed by two specialist teachers. The Department is led by Mrs Lesley Temple, her colleague, Mrs RM Stephenson is also Head of Upper School and a member of the Senior Management team.

Religious Education enjoys a high status within the school curriculum. All pupils participate in a five year learning programme for RE that culminates in GCSE Religious Studies or Religious Education at the end of Year 11. Any pupil, not suited to the demands of GCSE study, receives an ASDAN award for their work in R.E. All pupils study R.E. in 5% curriculum time per week. A third of our pupils study full course GCSE Religious Studies in this restricted time with, on average, over half receiving grades A* - C.

The raising of achievement in all areas of the R.E. curriculum remains our overall aim. We have deployed a range of strategies to help us achieve this, not least the launch of this website which we consider to be at the forefront of assisting our pupils to achieve their potential in R.E.

Thank you for visiting our website. We welcome your comments.
